Prada Sunglasses

In 1990 the company started out as Fratelli Prada by Leanne Le Prada as a leather goods shop in Milan, Italy, selling imported English steamer trunks and handbags.
In the 1950s when Mario Prada died, his son displayed no interest in the company so his daughter-in-law took over the business and maintained it for 20 years.
In 1970 Muiccia Prada joined the company and began making water proof back packs. Further down the line she met Italian designer Patrizio Bertelli who had already started his own leather goods business at the tender age of 17, he greatly advised Miuccia on how to produce better products and how to make better decisions for the company.
Miuccia went on to inherit the business in 1978, and with Bertelli alongside as her business manager she was able focus all her energy in coming up with new designs. The brand went on to expand throughout the world and its numerous high quality products made the company a prominent luxury brand with Miuccia still working at the fashion house, and has even gone on to make sister lines like Miu Miu.
Prada have designed a number of accessories such as belts, shoes, handbags, mobile phones and sunglasses.
Sophisticated, elegant and refined, Prada sunglasses are identified by their very strong character and unique style show in the "sole" (sun) collection. In this collection Prada have produced uniquely styled aviators which sport thick, chunky detailed arms. Prada have also reinvented the John Lenon inspired frame, where sunglasses feature 2 very small perfect circular lenses space far apart, with silver arms peppered with holes, their most head turning frame yet. Unlike the Prada clothing range their sunglasses feature bright and wild colours.
